Design guidelines
Verified spine and safe areas
The cover width must include the verified spine for your selected total page count and inner paper. 28 total pages include 24 interior pages and all 4 cover pages. Keep the inner-cover spine unprinted for glue. Allow 3 mm bleed and 4 mm safety, plus 5 mm extra on the binding edge of interior pages, or 10 mm extra above 100 pages.
Every offered specification has a verified spine measurement: 28, 32, 48, 64, 100, 148, 200 and 300 total pages with 115, 135 or 170 gsm Gloss Coated or Silk Coated interiors. The downloadable template shows the two cover spreads plus one spine-left and one spine-right interior page; repeat those two layouts for every interior page of your booklet. Our design service remains available and is charged separately.

How should I arrange the PDF pages?
Upload one PDF in this order: outer cover spread (back cover / spine / front cover), inner cover spread (page 2 / blank spine / next-to-last page), then all individual interior pages in reading order. The first individual interior is a right-hand page. A 64-page booklet needs 62 PDF pages: two wide cover spreads followed by 60 single interior pages. Download the guide for your selected paper and page count; do not use a generic spine width.
